Direct Fired Heaters

Direct Fired Heaters:

Direct Fired heaters are used throughout the hydrocarbon and chemical processing industries in places such as refineries, gas plants and petrochemicals. A direct fired heater is a style of heater in which a burner provides hot gasses that transfer their heat energy to a process liquid or gas flowing directly through coils installed inside the heater vessel. These are available in a horizontal or a vertical configuration.

The process coils are designed to ASME or B31.3 to accommodate high operating pressures. Typical operating temperatures up to 550 F can be achieved with these heaters.

These units are fitted with a forced draft burner or an optional low NOX forced draft burner. The firing rate is controlled by a PID loop control signal. This signal manipulates the burner firing rate based on the temperature feedback signal from the temperature element installed in the process coil.

We can furnish completely engineered unit on skid to include, instruments, valves and controls along with foundation loads to suit client requirements.
